Welcome To RICV!
Janice Brown, President of RICV board of trustees
"Being part of the Resources for Independence Central Valley (RICV) has been a highlight of my career. It has given me an opportunity to grow in my experience and understanding in working with persons with disabilities in our community. RICV has been a leader in developing opportunities for individuals with disabilities and encouraging other members and leaders in our community to include this group as an active and critical part of growth and development. Under the leadership of Director, Robert J. Hand, RICV is leading the way to train other organizations across the state and nation in impactful methods of reaching out and supporting persons with disabilities, and I am proud to be part of that effort as a member of the Board of Directors. Thank you for your support".

COMMUNITY LEADERSHIP ACADEMY![]()
The CLA trains persons with disabilities to be board members of nonprofits, and members of government councils, commissions and boards.
Trainer's Manual: "Leaders Without Limits" A Project of the Community Leadership Academy
Learn how to implement and maintain a program designed specifically to increase the number of persons with disabilities participating in leadership roles in the local community. Leaders Without Limits is a seminar that teaches you how to hold your own Community Leadership Academy (CLA). CLA is an 18 hour course designed to train individuals with disabilities to actively participate on nonprofit boards, community advisory boards, committees and councils. As ongoing advocates for positive social change efforts, Resources for Independence Central Valley created the Train-the-Trainer program and manual to provide the tools to implement a local Community Leadership Academy. Many Graduates of the Community Leadership Academy are now members of nonprofit boards and political committees. Join with us to make an impact on disability inclusion!
