Repair and Share
Do you have a power wheelchair that you are no longer using? Would you like to help someone gain their independence?
Please consider the Repair & Share Program if you have a power wheelchair that you would like to donate (functioning or non-functioning), and call Resources for Independence for more information.
Repair & Share Program is a loan and recycle program that will enable people with disabilities who are in need of power wheelchairs to live independently. Resources for Independence is collaborating with G7 Medical Services, a local supplier of medical equipment, to repair power wheelchairs donated to our agency. These chairs will be used to aid people with disabilities, maximizing their independence by loaning the chairs on a temporary basis while they find the means of getting a power wheelchair of their own.
For additional information regarding this exciting program, please download the Repair & Share Brochure (PDF).
The “Recycle AT” Assistive Technology Loan and Recycling Program inventory consists primarily of specialized mobility AT devices such as, but not limited to:
- - Canes
- - Walkers
- - Commodes
AT Advocates will loan and/or recycle each item on a case-by-case basis. Whether an item in the inventory will be loaned or donated to a consumer will be at the discretion of the AT Advocate.
Current AT Reuse Inventory
We accept donated AT equipment. Acceptance of donation is based upon equipment type, its condition, and available storage in our facility. Tax letters will be given to donor at their request.
