What is the Community Leadership Academy?

The logo has a dark gray background.The Community Leadership Academy (CLA) governance course prepares graduates for community leadership roles as board, council and committee members serving local government and nonprofit organizations. The CLA Curriculum cover’s a broad range of topics, including Robert’s Rules of Order, reading financial reports, board member duties and responsibilities, reviews of the Brown Act and Bagely-Keene Act, and many related topics.

RICV offers train-the-trainer sessions (in person) for organizations or community groups interested in leading a CLA. RICV will also consult with community boards. Please call RICV for more information.
